Make it believed?

Jesus is God's son in human form. God abandoned Jesus on the cross. "About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”) -Matthew 27:45-46 So god abandoned himself? And when Jesus said that he was quoting Psalm 22:1, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help?" Why would God abandon himself? Yes God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are one and the same and yet different. Granted God is infinite and we are finite. But God technically abandoned himself. So why did he? How did he? What was he thinking at the moment when he had to bear the weight of all the world's sin?

Deuteronomy 31:6: "So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” But God abandoned Jesus on the cross. That is kind of a contradiction, like an albino lifeguard. So God did one thing but said another. That can't be true!?

Since God sent his son as a sacrifice for our sins, does that mean he loves us more than his son? “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. And if God is Jesus in human form, that means God loves us so much to die on a cross for us. So does God love us more than he loves himself? Or is this the greatest example of selfless and unconditional love in the entire universe?

I am not challenging God, I am just asking about what I have picked out of what stands out to me. Despite all my questions I still think that God is the most beautiful, peaceful, just, loving, caring, merciful, comforting, amazing, miraculous and speechless being in the whole universe. And I am not ashamed to say that I need Jesus in my life.

"There is room for all God's creatures... Right next to my mashed patatoes."

(this is more of a teaching on my heart than a blog for this post)

when i saw that quote (next to my pataoes) it broke my heart. it made me think why do people hate animals?

What are your thoughts on how God views animals?
What do you think when someone says, “God loves animals”?

God made humans. God made animals. God made the Earth.  Humans are to take care of and use the earth. God gave humans authority over animals (Genesis 1:28). Thus humans are to be caretakers and assume control & protection over everything God made, including animals. Not take advantage of our role.

God intentionally created animals and continually provides and cares for them. God provides food for wild animals (Psalm 147:9 & Exodus 23:11). Animals are not to be over worked (Exodus 23:12). Animals are not to be hunted to extinction (Deuteronomy 22:6-7). Animals are not to be underfed (Deuteronomy 25:4).

Animals are worth protecting. Granted humans have authority over animals, just because they are secondary to humans doesn’t mean animals are not valued. Yet compared to God, He puts them to shame. Animals are not for humans to Neglect, Abuse, Starve, Abandon, or Poach. Animals deserve to be loved and respected.

Why should I care?
If you come along to see an animal needing help, don’t pass by it. Stop and help the animal (Exodus 23:4-5), or call some one who can. If we want to be like God, we should take care of animals (Proverbs 12:10).

In case you were day dreaming…
·        Animals are not to be underfed
·        Animals are not to be over worked
·        Animals are not to be hunted to extinction
·        Humans must assume control and protection over the Earth
